Submissions

Submissions are accepted through the e-mail alex@tucupi.biz. We encourage you to send your manuscript or comics as ready as possible for analysis and feedback before we can agree on publishing. If you need help with editing, reviewing, and other production parts of your book, we will be glad to help as well if you decide to publish with us.

What is Tucupi?

Tucupi (pronounced tooh-koo-pee) is a yellow juice that is produced during the manufacturing of the manioc flour (farinha de mandioca, in Portuguese), a starchy, granulated dough eaten dry and powdered as complement to many dishes. The tucupi is often used as a spicy sauce, after passing through a fermentation process to eliminate its toxins. The name Tucupi was chosen to represent the work put into the production of this staple of the Amazonian food, analog to the book publication process, as well as a homage to the homeland of the owner of the company.
